Heatwave alert has been issued in many parts of India as temperatures continue to rise across several states. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), many regions are expected to face very high temperatures for the next few days. Officials warned people to stay safe and avoid going outside during afternoon hours.

Heatwave Alert in Several States

Weather department reports say that states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Rajasthan are likely to experience extreme heat. Temperature may cross 40°C in many cities. Because of this, authorities issued a heatwave warning.

Experts said that strong sunlight and dry weather conditions are the main reasons for this sudden increase in temperature. People are advised to drink more water and stay indoors as much as possible.

IMD Warning for Next 5 Days

IMD officials said that the heatwave may continue for the next 5 days. In some areas, temperature may increase even more. Schools and offices were also advised to take safety measures to avoid health problems.

Doctors warned that extreme heat can cause dehydration, weakness, headache, and heat stroke. Children and old people should be more careful during this period.

Government Advice for Public

Authorities suggested the following safety tips:

Drink plenty of water

Avoid direct sunlight

Wear light clothes

Stay indoors in afternoon

Use umbrella or cap outside

People are requested to follow safety instructions until weather becomes normal.

Situation May Change Soon

Weather experts said that rain may arrive in some parts of the country after few days, which can reduce temperature. But until then, people should stay alert and follow official warnings.
