A shooting incident in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood has left at least three people injured, prompting a major response from law enforcement and emergency services.

According to authorities, the incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. near Northwest 75th Street and 21st Avenue in the unincorporated Gladeview area. Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office responded quickly to reports of gunfire in the area.

Emergency responders transported all three victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Officials have not yet released details about the victims’ conditions.

As a precaution, nearby Lillie C. Evans Elementary School was placed on lockdown during the incident. Authorities later confirmed that the lockdown was lifted shortly before 3:30 p.m. after the situation was brought under control.
