2 Teens and Adult Man Injured in Southeast D.C. Shooting
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Three people, including two teenagers, were injured in a shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said officers from the Sixth District responded to reports of gunfire in the 4900 block of G Street Southeast at approximately 5:15 p.m. on May 25, 2026. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims included one adult male and two juvenile males, all of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency personnel from D.C. Fire and EMS responded quickly and transported the victims to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities have not released the identities or ages of the victims. Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and whether the victims were specifically targeted.
Police described the suspect as a Black male wearing a black shirt. No arrests have been announced, and the suspect remains at large.
The Metropolitan Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information related to the shooting to come forward. Community assistance can play a crucial role in helping investigators identify and locate the individual responsible.
