Mass Shooting in Trenton Leaves 7 Injured, Two in Critical Condition
According to authorities, officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:30 p.m. after receiving an alert from ShotSpotter technology, a system designed to detect and locate possible gunfire. The technology can also pick up other loud noises, including fireworks and vehicle backfires.
When officers arrived, they discovered seven victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel provided treatment at the scene before all seven victims were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for further care.
Officials reported that two of the victims remain in critical condition, while the other five are listed in stable condition.
Police have not released any information regarding potential suspects, and no arrests have been announced at this time. Detectives are actively gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing available surveillance footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
