Single-Engine Aircraft Crash in Geauga County, Ohio Leaves One Dead
MIDDLEFIELD, OHIO (GEAUGA COUNTY) — Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a fatal aircraft crash in Geauga County after a single-engine airplane reportedly went down in a field near Bridge Road.
According to emergency reports, the aircraft crashed in a field approximately 100 feet from an address located in the 17030 block of Bridge Road in Middlefield. Authorities confirmed that the aircraft was carrying a single occupant.
One Fatality Confirmed
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene determined that the sole occupant of the aircraft died in the crash. Officials classified the victim as deceased at the scene.No additional passengers were reported to be on board the aircraft at the time of the incidents
Authorities stated that no fire resulted from the crash, and emergency crews found no hazardous materials conditions at the scene. The absence of fire helped responders quickly secure the area and begin preliminary assessments.
