Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Hunger Strike After Government Assurances on Education Reforms

New Delhi, India – Education reform activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his 26-day hunger strike following fresh assurances from the Central Government regarding stronger action against examination paper leaks and broader education reforms.

The development comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a video message ahead of the upcoming Union Cabinet meeting, promising stricter measures to combat paper leaks and protect the integrity of India's examination system.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda was present as Wangchuk broke his fast in hospital. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh also visited him, expressing support and concern for his health after nearly four weeks of fasting.
